Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mind Play Tools (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the Service.
Assumption of Risk
Mind Play Tools is provided for personal, hobbyist use in support of tabletop role-playing games. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
You use the Service entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mind Play Tools and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including loss of data, character sheets, campaign notes, or any other content you create or store here.
Data Retention
While reasonable efforts are made to keep your account and character data available and backed up, data retention and availability are not guaranteed. Data may be lost, corrupted, or deleted as a result of technical failure, maintenance, hosting issues, or other circumstances outside of our control.
We strongly recommend regularly exporting your character sheets using the built-in "Export as JSON" feature on each sheet so that you retain your own independent copy of your data.
Cookies & Sessions
Mind Play Tools uses cookies and server-side sessions that are strictly necessary for the Service to function. These are used to:
- Keep you signed in between visits (a session token cookie)
- Maintain your logged-in state and preferences while you browse the site
- Protect forms on the site from cross-site request forgery
We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. Basic, anonymized traffic analytics may be collected to help us understand overall usage of the Service. By using the Service you consent to the use of these cookies as described.
User Content & Conduct
Any content you create or upload (character sheets, campaign notes, images, or other material) remains yours, but you are solely responsible for it. You agree not to use the Service to store or share content that is illegal, infringing, or otherwise harmful. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Third-Party Trademarks
Game system names referenced on this site (including Dungeons & Dragons, Fate, Tales from the Loop, and Tales of the Valiant) are trademarks of their respective owners. Mind Play Tools is an independent, unofficial fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these publishers.
Changes to the Service & These Terms
The Service is provided free of charge and may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. These terms may also be updated from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
